Monthly overview March 2020

 

The sum of all individual measurements of precipitation in March resulted in a valueof 22.3 mm. The amount of precipitation corresponded to only 60% of the normal value forMarch. The first month of spring was therefore very dry. In the middle of the month developeda weather condition blocking the westerly current; significant precipitation couldend of the month are therefore no longer recorded.Compared to the normal value for 1961-1990, there was a deviation for Marchfrom -15 mm. This increased the calculated from January 1, 2018 significantlyPrecipitation deficit in the Coswig area from -334 mm to -349 mm.
